About 3 months ago, one of my favorite department stores packed up and left the local mall.  At the time I was a bit disappointed but I didn’t let it get me too bogged down.  I did get in on some wonderful going out of business specials.  I got a new set of Magnalite cookware for 90% off… I practically stole it! No kidding!

Anyway, the store remained empty for about three weeks.  Then signs came up popped up saying that Kohl’s would soon be coming.  As much as I hated to see the old store go, I am happy to see Kohl’s come. 

There were no Kohl’s stores in my area.  The closet one is about 100 miles away.  I had gone to the far out location a few times to cash in on some back to school specials, but with the rising price of gas… making the hour and a half drive was no longer worth it.  I am so happy that they have moved right in my own back yard. 

Wanna know why?

Well for one… Kohl’s always has the best shoe sales!

So, ok, you may have not known anything about Patricia Fields, but who hasn’t heard of Vera Wang?!?  (no informational link necessary… but in case you’ve been under a rock, here you go)

Kohl’s has 8 different pair of Vera Wang sandals for less than $40, some for less than $20.  I am talking Vera Wang people… for $20! 

Guys, I don’t want to lose you.  I’m sure Vera Wang shoes is not be your thing.  But if you have a wife or daughter, she’ll love to get some of these shoes as a gift.  I don’t think a holiday is coming up… but the “just because” gifts work well too.

If you don’t have a wife or daughter… maybe you are admiring a special lady from afar.  Well, buy her some Vera Wang shoes… that’ll get you laid… (or not)!  But it will definitely get you noticed.

Anyway my PFA friends, I am headed down to Kohl’s so I gotta go.  They are still having their grand opening sale and on top of that, they are clearing out inventory to make room for the fall arrivals.  That is like a sale within a sale.  And it ain’t even Christmas. What more could a FW want?  Oh yeah, there is more thing… combining coupons with sale prices!  Goodness, that’s damn near sinful.
