I thought that Staples’ ad campaign with the “easy button” was sort of cute. At first. As time wore on–and I was subjected to more and more variations of the ad–it got rather tiresome.
Well, lo and behold. I’m a fan of the campaign again. Why? I found the Staples coupon “easy button”.
Finding coupons for major retailers can be a big pain in the backside. You can spend hours Googling around, checking eBay, running to pick up a Sunday paper and checking penny-pincher forums to find a discount. By the time you encounter a legit coupon, it often wasn’t worth the effort it took to find it in the first place.
You’ll see me recommend some websites for coupon hunting on a regular basis. Some of the better ones offer info on Staples coupon codes. You can find Staples coupon codes at sites like RetailMeNot, TechBargains, DealsPlus and AllOnlineCoupons, just to name a few reliable sources. Generally speaking, however, you don’t need to use them.
Sure, you might occasionally stumble into a special you can’t find otherwise by using third-party sites and eBay is still a decent way to find some of the bigger discount deals for Staples. If you need a monster coupon to cut down your percentage paid on a big ol’ purchase, it can still make sense to do a little digging on the auction site. In most cases, though, you can just hit the “easy button”.
That’s right. It really is pretty easy to find a coupon for Staples online. All you need to do is to see one particular company for help… Can you guess who that is? That’s right.
STAPLES.
Boom. That’s all you need. That one page at staples shows you what’s happening in their weekly advertising circular. It also breaks down coupon offers and special deals on merchandise ranging from a ream of white paper to a “beach cooler basket” for under five bucks.
After encountering a series of retailers who make you go on a virtual scavenger hunt in order to save a few bucks here and there, it’s great to find a company who’s ready to show you how to save right on their own site, plain as day.
Feel free to check around elsewhere, but your best bet for getting those deep discounts is to just tap the ol “easy button” and to check out the retailer itself. It’s sort of refreshing, to tell you the truth.
Are blank Memorex CD-Rs on your list? You can snag them for 60% off retail as of the date of this post. Right now, they have a halfway decent Brother laser printer that would usually retail for around $200 available for less than a C-note, thanks to a special coupon. That’s right, it’s an instant coupon and not a rebate.
Some of you might be wondering about what was once almost an urban legend for coupon hunters. Staples used to have a 110% price match guarantee. The convoluted math involved in this policy isn’t worth detailing here, but suffice it to say that you could combine Staples Coupons with the price match guarantee and come out of the deal with some pretty impressive savings–especially when buying those “big ticket” items.
That coupon “hack”, however, is a thing of the past. Apparently, Staples has wisely given up on the 100% price match deal.
Anyway, if you’re planning on making some purchases from Staples, don’t forget to check for some coupon codes and bargains. With an “easy button” and very little effort you’re sure to shave a few bucks off of your final bill.
